Mediterranean Villa

QuarryHouse worked with designer Stephen Schubel and Baldauf, Catton, Von Eckartsberg Architects on this enchanting Mediterranean styled villa set in Belvedere. The buff-colored Camel Sandstone selected for the walls, columns, surrounds, window & door frames influenced the color palette throughout the project. For the Interior and exterior floors & terraces, pool & spa surround, they offset the hand-hewn finish of the walls with a warm cream colored limestone, palladio stone from Verona Italy. An antique brushed finish was applied to the surface. Architectural details include stone ocular window surrounds, Tuscan columns and fireplace surrounds, kitchen alcove, and mosaic entry. QuarryHouse sourced the handmade roof tiles from an ancient kiln in Umbria Italy, where the clay has a natural warm peach color.
