THINK PINK: GLOSSIER LA

While many of QuarryHouse's projects involve neutral-colored stones of beige, taupe, gray, cream, brown, black, or white, they worked with pink marble for the skincare and cosmetics store Glossier LA. The West Hollywood showroom designed by Kendall Latham and built by AP-Build exudes Old Hollywood glamour. Central to the movie star theme is the monumental Universal Studios-inspired Glossier Globe. The sculpture, comprised of polished chrome, sits on a streamlined marble podium made from Rosa Portugal quarried in the county's Estremoz region. Above the globe, an oculus shows varying images of the sky.

In addition to the podium, QuarryHouse stonemasons installed the surrounding Art Deco-styled amphitheater. The tiered seating includes Rosa Portugal, Red Negrais, and a gray-green marble to temper the sweet pink. It makes for the perfect selfie backdrop.
