hawaiian paradise
QuarryHouse proposed a warm nutmeg-colored sandstone from a private quarry that we developed in China for this Hawaii Residence. The stone took hand finishes well and the team worked with deReus Architects to make a striking finish called Adze, that resembles the texture of woven cloth. The complex design and rich color pallet demanded strict quality control in color, and dimensions as we had to work to a virtual zero tolerance to make the interior patterns in battered walls.
