Mediterranean Villa

QuarryHouse worked with designer Stephen Shubel and BCV Architecture + Interiors on this enchanting Mediterranean-style villa in Belvedere. The buff-colored Camel Sandstone selected for the walls, columns, surrounds, window & door frames influenced the color palette throughout the project. For the interior and exterior floors & terraces, pool & spa surround, they offset the hand-hewn finish of the walls with a warm cream-colored limestone, Palladio stone from Verona, Italy. The team applied an antique brushed finish to the surface. Architectural details include stone ocular window surrounds, Tuscan columns and fireplace surrounds, kitchen alcove, and mosaic entry. QuarryHouse sourced the handmade roof tiles from an ancient kiln in Umbria, Italy,
where the clay has a natural warm peach color.
